Educate California is proud to announce that we have successfully completed our SOC 2 Type 1 audit, a significant milestone that reflects our deep and ongoing commitment to protecting the data, privacy, and trust of the families, students, schools, and partners we serve through our LifePrep Academy platform.

Completing a SOC 2 Type 1 audit confirms that Educate California and the LifePrep Academy have designed and implemented formal, industry-recognized controls to safeguard sensitive information and operate our technology platform responsibly.

What SOC 2 Type 1 Means

SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls) is a widely respected compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A Type I audit evaluates whether an organization has designed security, availability, confidentiality, and operational controls in place at a specific point in time.

Successfully completing this audit demonstrates that Educate California has established documented, reviewed, and tested policies and procedures across critical areas, including:
